Large industrial and remote sites can be difficult to monitor using conventional security systems alone.
Epic Air’s DJI Dock 3-powered security solutions add an autonomous aerial monitoring capability to existing security infrastructure, allowing a drone to be deployed from a permanently installed docking station for scheduled patrols or remotely initiated operations.
The system can provide security teams with rapid aerial situational awareness across large sites, difficult terrain and remote infrastructure.
Always-Ready Autonomous Monitoring
The DJI Dock 3 provides a protected, permanently installed base from which scheduled and remotely initiated drone operations can be conducted. The aircraft remains housed, charged and ready for deployment, reducing the setup time associated with conventional drone operations.
Day & Night Situational Awareness
When configured with the appropriate aircraft and payload, Dock 3 operations can provide both visual and thermal aerial information, supporting monitoring during daylight and low-light or night-time operations.
Potential applications include perimeter monitoring, incident verification, asset monitoring and rapid assessment of alarms or unusual activity.
Rapid Remote Response
When an incident requires investigation, an authorised remote operator can deploy the aircraft and obtain an aerial view of the affected area without first having to dispatch personnel across a large site. This can provide security teams with valuable real-time situational awareness to support an appropriate response.
Extend Existing Security Coverage
Autonomous drone patrols can complement guards, CCTV, perimeter detection and other security systems by providing a mobile aerial viewpoint capable of rapidly covering large or difficult-to-access areas. Rather than replacing existing security infrastructure, the drone becomes an additional intelligence and response tool.
